Fencing styles
Closeboard
Overlapping vertical boards for privacy and strength, with gravel boards to keep the timber off the ground.
Panel fencing
A quicker, good-value option, fitted into posts with a gravel board.
Slatted and contemporary
Horizontal or vertical slats for a modern look, often paired with porcelain paving.
Gates
Pedestrian and driveway gates in timber to match your fence.
Strong posts, straight lines
- Posts set deep and firm, in concrete where needed, so the fence stays upright in wind
- Gravel boards to keep timber clear of wet soil and extend its life
- Runs stepped or raked neatly on sloping ground
- Old fencing taken down and removed, agreed in your quote
Fences can generally be up to 2 metres high in a back garden, and 1 metre next to a road, without permission, but there are exceptions. We tell you what applies to your property.
